Janet txt is a Short Messaging Service, established in 2007 in response to demand from the Jisc community.
It is well used, especially during the Covid pandemic.The service enables operators within each user organisation to manipulate text messages and send them to designated users. It is a key communication tool for our members to engage with their students.
The current framework agreement is due to expire in April 2022. In response to requests from members, we’re going to launch a re-procurement for the service in January with a view to having a new multi-supplier framework in place by the end of April.
